LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

CAPITALWORKS partners exclusively with the XAVIER UNIVERSITY LEADERSHIP CENTER and our collaboration creates dynamic programs that combine learning with a real business issue. The reasons for the programs are to develop the specific competence required to execute a particular program or strategic initiative.

The programs embody an innovative approach, offering a program unlike any other. The cornerstone to this approach is "facilitated learning." The idea is to teach building blocks needed to solve real business problems, using the client's own business as the "living case study" where the newly gained knowledge is applied.

Leadership Boot Camp

A leading GLOBAL MANUFACTURER OF CONSUMER PRODUCTS experienced firsthand how to apply Marine Corps leadership development methods and techniques used by some of the most successful organizations in the world to develop high performing teams and a "thick culture" of leadership. Learn how and actually experience, the techniques and leadership training the Marine Corps uses to recruit, screen, develop and motivate its workforce.

Business situation applications are integrated into the program that will enable a group to immediately apply what you have learned (in the field, actually leading) to your organization for immediate improved performance.

Business Strategy Development

A media company selected a facilitated learning approach to re-developing their business strategy. The CAPWORKS-XLC team planned a series of learning sessions where it presented a "how to" guide for conducting marketing research, developing market strategy, market segmentation, and implementing strategy. The client engaged 5 separate teams of its people to design and conduct research, meet with customers, evaluate competitors, and develop analyses of their various business segments.

Then, through a series of facilitated sessions, the client teams were led through the strategy development process, created strategy maps and a new business model.
